Am I Welcome?

Those organising this march and speaking, have no concern to challenge racism or anti-Semitism, and tomorrow it will be back to business as usual. They are only concerned with removing ordinary people from the political stage, and taking another opportunity to attack Israel.

Am I Welcome?

Today those who regard themselves as progressive are marching to say the working class are racist.

This won't be a surprise to anyone who has an interest in politics and current affairs. On issue after issue the media, the establishment, trade unions and the left will call ordinary people 'right-wing' the moment they try to organise.

Wherever you stand on the issues themselves–protecting women's sports, immigration, two-tier policing, traffic controls–people must be allowed to discuss and organise.

And that's why we cannot let marches like today's charade, claiming to 'Stand Up to Racism' go unchallenged.

Today's march is particularly shocking because of its inclusion of 'anti-Semitism' in today's list of things that the left are against. Yet the marchers are exactly the same as those who have marched week in week out, calling for Israel to be wiped out. And today's speakers are exactly those who fuel anti-Semitism with their accusations of 'genocide' or claims that the IDF are targeting children.

Those organising this march and speaking have no concern to challenge racism or anti-Semitism, and tomorrow it will be back to business as usual. They are only concerned with removing ordinary people from the political stage, and taking another opportunity to attack Israel.

And real anti-racists and real fighters against anti-Semitism will not be welcome.
