Remember October 7 in London This Weekend
This Sunday, October 6th, Jewish community groups and solidarity campaigns will be present at a memorial event in London's Hyde Park. There will be a number of speakers, and together we will mourn the victims and stand with the hostages still in captivity.
Join us in Hyde Park, by the Reformer's Tree at 2.30pm on Sunday, October 6th, as we mark the one-year anniversary of the tragic events of 7.10. Together we'll mourn the victims and stand with the hostages still in captivity.
The event will be moderated by Tracey Ann Oberman, with a speech by Mandy Damari, the mother of British hostage Emily Damari (age 28) who is still being held captive, and
contributions from Sir Simon Schama and Barak Deri, one of the first soldiers sent to Kibbutz Be'eri after the attack.
There will also be 40 information stations run by Jewish communal organisations and solidarity campaigns, which will be showcasing artwork and have interactive commemorative activities. Our Fight will have a stand, so please do come and say hello.
Please avoid bringing bags and any items which may be considered a security risk, as bag checks will be in place. This is a family-friendly communal event for everyone of all ages, and there is no need to register ahead of time.
